Web Architect - ColdFusion

In role as Coldfusion Web Architect, I worked on a team of five developers responsible for design and implementation of the company’s web presence, including the public site (www.benplan.com) and an extensive private corporate Intranet. Coded custom benefit enrollment systems for high profile clients such as Underwriters Labs (UL), Six Flags, and The Scooter Store.
Key accomplishments:
- lead project to convert codebase from Coldfusion5 to MX7.
- lead project to integrate "Web 2.0" (one page interactive web app) features such as inline edit-in-place functionality to reduce page loads and navigation .
- Designed and developed custom benefit enrollment web systems implementing complex business logic that varies vastly by system and client.
- Was responsible for development of a project planning system wraping together a ticket request system, issue logging and MS project server data into a workflow application to streamline the company' s development process.

Served dual role as Coldfusion Web Developer and Software/ Internet Product Development Coordinator. Primary product management duties included generation of use case documents, software change requests, detailed specifications and requirements for new features as well as defect fixes. Gathered engineering, QA, and implementation estimates to compile and maintain project schedules using MS Project Pro and Project Server. Effectively used cross-functional teams, defect tracking software (Seapine’s Test Track Pro) and document version control methodologies to track development projects through the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) process. As Web Developer, I was responsible for design and implementation of the company’s web presence, including the public site (www.Marketron.com), WebAvails (www.WebAvails.com) site and an extensive private corporate Intranet.
Key accomplishments:
- Designed and developed a dynamic, database-driven, intranet web site. The content on the site is completely maintained the end users, including the ability for authorized users to create new pages, edit content, and create/edit/assign permissions for other users by using a flexible yet secure infrastructure based on NT login credentials. This access system allows users to view or edit only the content that is relevant to them, all administered through a web based backend.
- Designed and developed an internal web application to allow our implementation team to collect information about upcoming installations and upgrades, to schedule implementation and training resources to those tasks, and account for all implementation personnel for billing purposes. The implementation managers could then create, assign and edit certification tests taken at an online testing center on our public site.
- Responsible for development of an interface between a desktop application used by sales staff at 800+ TV stations and a web service accessed by thousands of the top media buyers in the country.
